At a time when female creativity deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun emerges as a joyful and powerful space where art becomes encounter, dialogue, and shared emotion. 14 women artists - each established and recognized in the international art world - come together to tell stories, spark emotions, and share visions through their own languages and materials, weaving the personal and the universal into a vibrant collective rhythm.
These women do not need to prove anything; they already shine. Their presence alone is a declaration of freedom, mastery, and artistic force.
This exhibition is an invitation to joy as an act of resistance, and creativity as a form of connection. Here, making art is never solitary: it happens in chorus, it grows through exchange, and it resonates in togetherness. Each work becomes a tile in a mosaic of women who create together, celebrating their presence in the world of art with courage, joy, and determination.
As Georgia O’Keeffe once said:
“There are no limits to what we can create when we allow ourselves to see the world through our own eyes.”
In this space, fun is not frivolous - it’s revolutionary. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun transforms play into power, laughter into language, and creativity into community. When women create together, they feed each other’s energy, stories, and dreams. They invent new worlds where beauty, courage, and curiosity intertwine. Collaboration becomes empowerment; the act of creation becomes celebration.
The works on display reflect a universe where intuition meets memory, matter meets myth, and emotion meets freedom. From the intimate to the political, from the playful to the profound, each artist adds her unique voice to a collective symphony of feminine creation.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is more than an exhibition - it’s a declaration of intent, a softer provocation. It’s a celebration of women who make, laugh, dream, and dare. Here, beauty takes shape through joy, creativity multiplies through connection, and female presence becomes not an exception but the rule.
Join us in Lisbon on December 4 to celebrate strength, poetry, joy, and the power of women creating - together - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!
